Introducing ONE: A New Formation Experience Launching in 2026

There are moments when the Church must pause long enough to ask not only what we believe, but who we are becoming.

As I speak with pastors, ministry leaders, and everyday followers of Jesus across the country, I hear a common longing. People are hungry for a faith that reaches beyond Sunday morning. They want to navigate difficult conversations with wisdom and grace. They want to live with conviction without losing compassion. And they are searching for ways to remain faithful in a culture that often rewards division more than understanding. 

At the same time, many are grieving. Grieving the fractures within the Church. Grieving the ways polarization has shaped our relationships. Grieving the distance between Jesus' vision for His people and what we often experience today.

Yet I believe grief doesn’t have to be the end of the story.

Jesus has already given us a vision for another way.

In John 17, on the eve of His crucifixion, Jesus prayed for His followers. His prayer was strikingly simple and profoundly challenging: that we would be one.

Not identical.

Not uniform.

But united in God's love and purpose in such a way that the world would encounter Him through us.

That prayer is the foundation of a new learning experience we are preparing to launch in Autumn 2026: ONE.

Why We Created ONE

At UNDIVIDED, we have spent years helping individuals, churches, and communities pursue racial healing, solidarity, and justice through the way of Jesus. Along the way, we've learned something important: meaningful change begins with formation.

Information alone rarely transforms us.

What shapes our lives is what shapes our hearts, our relationships, and our practices.

ONE was created for people who desire more than inspiration. It is for those who want to become the kind of disciples who embody the reconciling love of Jesus in their homes, churches, and communities.

Rooted in Jesus' prayer for unity and informed by the lived practices of the early Church in Acts, ONE invites participants into a deeper experience of faith that is personal, communal, and lived out in the world.

What Participants Will Experience

Over four weeks, participants will explore four foundational movements of formation:

Grounded in God

Knowing God reshapes how we see and love our neighbors.

Shaped by Truth

God's truth forms us for empathy, courage, and unity.

Unity and Solidarity

Love and justice practiced together become a public witness.

Sent on Mission

God's love moves us outward to reconcile, restore, and serve.

Each session combines compelling teaching, spiritual reflection, practical application, and meaningful conversation. Participants will not simply learn about unity—they will be invited to practice it.

Learning for a Divided Moment

As a lifelong teacher and learner, I believe some of the most important learning happens when we are willing to be transformed, not just informed.

A foundational hope of ONE is that we can recover a more faithful imagination for our relationships and public lives. The challenges facing our communities today cannot be solved by better arguments or avoiding tension. These challenges require people who are deeply rooted in God's love, grounded in truth, and equipped to engage others with humility and courage. 

ONE is not an invitation to avoid or disengage from the issues shaping our world. It is an invitation to engage them differently-to become people whose words and actions point beyond ourselves and partisan politics to, Jesus, the one we ultimately belong to. 

That is the kind of formation ONE seeks to cultivate. 

We are also honored to be partnering with respected pastors, scholars, practitioners, and thought leaders whose voices will help shape this experience. Their wisdom and insight will enrich the journey while pointing participants back to the person and prayer of Jesus.

Looking Ahead

The name ONE is both an aspiration and an invitation.

It reminds us that unity is not something we manufacture through effort alone. It is a gift God gives and a calling we learn to live into together.

As we prepare for this launch, I find myself returning often to Jesus' prayer in John 17. It remains one of the most compelling visions for the Church: a people so formed by God's love that their lives become a witness to the world.

That we would be one so that the world would know him.

That vision still matters.

Perhaps now more than ever.

My hope is that ONE will help individuals, churches, and communities take another step toward becoming the people Jesus prayed we would be.

People formed in prayer.

Shaped for unity.

Sent in love.
